Kelly’s Irish Pub is not just a pub. Apart from being the largest Irish Pub in Antwerp, we also manage to stand out thanks to a fantastic team. Without our staff, Kelly’s wouldn’t be what it is today.
Mackenzie (28) is one of the indispensable parts of our success story.
She moved from Australia, across the ocean to create a life in Belgium.
“I originally planned to move to the Netherlands”, says Mackenzie. “I was applying online to different English-speaking pubs, then I got in contact with the managers of Kelly’s Irish Pub and they asked me to come to Antwerp for a trial. As Kelly’s looked the most fun, I ended up moving down two days later.”
How is Kelly’s different from other Irish Pubs?
“We are the largest Irish Pun in Antwerp. We try to give all of our clients the best experience, whether it’s a tasty Irish breakfast in the morning, a nice pint of Guinness, or some live music on the weekends. Apart from that, Kelly’s is a very positive and fun place to work. All of our servers are fun and friendly people. We try to make everyone feel welcomed and leave with a smile.”
What do you like most about working at Kelly’s?
It’s a really fun atmosphere with clients and staff from all over the world. If I were to describe Kelly’s in three words, it would be FUN, FRIENDLY, COZY.
